Study
Tips on Studying:
- Don't consider studying as a heavy task or a dull thing. Take initiative and try to get interested in your studies.
- Study persistently. Do not just study in your classroom. To make it easy, there are 3 steps for you as reference:
- Before class: The night before class, try to predict what the teacher will teach the next day. Read the book and see if there are anything that you don't understand. It will be easier for you to follow the next day and you can ask the teacher immediately after class.
- During the class: Listen carefully to the teacher. Take notes. In case you think you are unable to take notes quickly and neatly in your notebook, just quickly write them on a piece of rough work paper, and then manage them after class. If a question suddenly pop up in your brain, quickly write it down on a piece of paper and ask when the class finishes.
- After the class: Read and think about what you have learn today. If there are anything that you don't understand or you feel confused, you must think get it clear and think over it again and again in your brain when you get home. If you still cannot figure it out, ask your teacher the next day. Also, rewrite your notes in a tidy and easy-to-understand way in your notebook, as these notes will be essential for your later references.
- Find extra information related to your studies from books in the library. Just studying your textbook is not enough. And you will find your studies much more interesting if you read more.
- Use the Internet. The world wide web contains a large amount of resources that helps your studies. They include tips on exams, specific information, research findings, sample exam papers, etc. (You may find such websites on the 'Links' page.)
- After the school has finished each chapter, you should finish the relevant exercises. Most textbooks provide exercise or practices after each chapter of the book. Make sure you do them immediately after finishing the chapter. Do not wait until it is time for exam.
